This policy explains how Kanji Flash presents kanji learning pages, keeps source limits clear, and handles corrections from learners.
Kanji Flash is a learner-facing kanji map for Cards, Decks, Sets, the Archive, practice, and trust pages. It is not a full kanji dictionary, a newsroom, an official academic authority, or a legal or medical translation reference.
1. Editorial Overview
Kanji Flash should help learners understand what to study next without pretending to be a complete reference. Pages should be clear about scope, sources, and correction paths.
The site presents learning paths, short explanations, useful words, related kanji, Deck membership, practice context, and links to deeper reference material.
2. Learning-First Presentation
Public pages should explain what a learner can use now: meanings, readings, useful words, related Cards or Decks, and a path to fuller reference when needed.
Page titles, descriptions, grouping explanations, useful-word summaries, and trust-page copy are editorial learning material. They should guide learners without becoming independent proof of every possible reading, meaning, or use.
3. Sources, Curation, and Reference Boundaries
Kanji Flash uses curated project data for its learning tool and points to Kanji.Jepang.org for deeper kanji reference material.
When data is missing or limited, Kanji Flash should stay limited. It should not invent readings, meanings, source claims, Deck membership reasons, or character claims to make a page look more complete.
4. Assisted Copy and Human Review
Some learning copy, summaries, translations, or trust-page text may be drafted or assisted with software tools.
Before assisted copy is treated as publishable, it should be reviewed for clarity, natural wording, learner usefulness, and unsupported claims. Assisted copy is never a substitute for source data.
5. Corrections and Updates
Corrections can be sent to [email protected]. Useful reports include the page URL, affected kanji, Card, Deck, or Set when relevant, the issue, a suggested fix, and a supporting source if available.
Corrections are reviewed before public changes are made. Kanji Flash does not guarantee that every suggestion will be accepted and does not promise a response time.
